Presort Services, Inc. began in 1982 with a few part-time employees sorting mail by hand for one client.
 
Today, we have scores of employees, hundreds of clients, and a reputation for integrating the latest in automated mail-handling technology.
 
Our Grand Rapids and Lansing facilities process more than ¾ of a million pieces of mail each day for first-class presorting clients throughout Western and Central Michigan, as well as direct mail clients nationwide.
 
In short, we’ve evolved from a small hand-sort operation to one of the premier mailing houses in the country – the largest in Michigan outside of Metro Detroit. 
 
Of course, some things haven’t changed over the years. Our first client, for instance, is still with us today. What sets us apart?

Presort Services is one of the few presort bureaus in the country with dual facilities (in Grand Rapids and Lansing), each backing up the other to ensure uninterrupted client service in case of power outage, natural disaster or other business contingency.

Presort Services was the first presort bureau in Michigan to be certified as a quality mailing partner under the U.S. Postal Service’s MPTQM (Mail Preparation Total Quality Management) program, the gold standard of mailing proficiency. What’s more, we were the first in the entire country to earn a perfect score on an MPTQM recertification audit. In addition, we’re on track toward obtaining MQC (Mailpiece Quality Control) certification for every employee.
